There are six fuzz types you can choose – The Civil War, The Russian, The Pi, The Triangle, ’73 Ram Head and JHS 2015. For example, the small cannon clearly refers to the famous Civil War fuzz, while the ram clearly refers to the famous ’73 version of the Ram Head. Still, you won’t feel confused, as these symbols clearly refer to a certain version of the pedal. Instead of names for each fuzz pedal, you will find nice small symbols. The only difference compared to original pedals is the fourth knob, which allows you to select the fuzz type you want. Those who are familiar with Big Muff pedals know very well that this is actually a knob that lets you set the level of fuzz. On the right side, you will find a Sustain knob. On the left side, you will find Volume, so you can set up the level, and Tone knob, so you can easily find your perfect EQ settings. Three of them are the same ones you will find on every Big Muff pedal.

The pedal is also pretty sturdy and I particularly like the color and those simple but great-looking symbols.īesides compact dimensions, the JHS Muffuletta is also very simple and easy to use. It seems unbelievable to see six analog pedals packed into something that measures 1.6” x 2.2” x 4.8” (4cm x 5.6cm x 12.2cm). The first thing you’ll notice about this pedal is how compact it is. Also, designers managed to pack all these tones into one pretty compact stompbox, which is also super-easy to use, as you will find the same knobs as on all Big Muff pedals. The most impressive thing is the fact that we are not talking about some digital emulation, but a fully analog pedal with the same circuits as original units. Given the amount of tones, we may say that this product is one of a kind in the world of fuzz effects. Engineers from this company packed five legendary circuits but there is also one more, JHS circuit, which represents a modern approach to fuzz sound. This is the company’s way to pay a tribute to the legendary fuzz pedal. The beauty of JHS Muffuletta is that it packs a whole batch of iconic Big Muff pedals into a single housing. For decades of production, we have seen various versions of this pedal, with small but very important tweaks to the pedal’s circle, which shaped some of the most iconic tones of the fuzz effect. All of them are amazing, but Big Muff somehow stands out, as one of the most legendary fuzz pedals of all time.

If you like the Les Paul, get ready to discover a new pallet of sounds that you won’t be able to live without. If you’re a Strat player, this pedal will bring you sounds that you may have thought impossible. The drive allows you a huge range of tones from “little wing-ish” chime to classic rock era bite. The frequencies are perfectly balanced and the tone knob reacts as a high frequency roll off. You will notice immediately how touch sensitive and dynamic the feel of this pedal is. The “Bright Cut” toggle allows the perfect level of EQ for your rig. It now has around 4X more headroom, 2X the available gain, and a more useful tone control. We improved vastly on the BB while maintaining what made it a great pedal in the first place. The Morning Glory is a very transparent tone-shaping tool that is the result of several years of building, gigging, tweaking and improving on the original Marshal Bluesbreaker design. "There’s a lot of hype out there these days with overdrive pedals and the last thing we want to do is to add to the noise.Īs you may already know, almost every boutique overdrive on the market is a modified Tubescreamer of some sort we have decided to take a different approach. You can make a better tire but they are all round and rubber. JHS states they started from the Bluesbreaker circuit and went from there. Not to mention TV's man some clones going on there. Like every amp is a totally new idea and every pedal a new circuit design. I heard a Corvette is a modified clone of a Model T.
